Description

A Nightmare on Elm Street

Nancy is having nightmares about a frightening, badly scarred figure who wears a glove fitted with razor-sharp “finger knives.” She soon discovers that her friends are having similar dreams. When the kids begin to die, Nancy realizes that she must stay awake to survive. After uncovering the secret identity of the dream killer and his connection to the children of Elm Street, she plots to draw him out into the real world.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge

The Grady family, including their teenage son Jesse, moves into a house on Elm Street that has been vacant for some time—the same house in which the first Nightmare on Elm Street took place. Jesse begins having strange nightmares and discovers that Freddy Krueger is using him to commit terrible deeds. It is up to his girlfriend to find a way to stop Freddy.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors

The third film continues Freddy’s story with Nancy Thompson, the survivor of the first movie. Nancy has accepted a position as a research scientist at a psychiatric institution near the fated house on Elm Street, where she works with a group of children who all share nightmares of Freddy. She discovers that one of the children, Kristen, has a special gift that may help them destroy Freddy forever.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master

Following the events of the previous film, dream demon Freddy Krueger is resurrected from his apparent demise and rapidly tracks down the remaining Elm Street kids. Kristen, who can draw others into her dreams, passes her special ability to her friend Alice. Alice soon realizes that Freddy is using this newfound power to pull a new group of children into his foul domain.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child

After surviving the previous installment, Alice finds that the deadly dreams of Freddy Krueger have begun again. This time, the taunting murderer is striking through the sleeping mind of Alice’s unborn child. His intention is to be “born again” into the real world. The only person who can stop Freddy is his dead mother, but can Alice free her spirit in time to save her own son?

Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare

In the sixth film of the series, Freddy Krueger has finally killed all the children in his hometown and seeks to escape its confines to hunt fresh prey. To accomplish this, he recruits the aid of his previously unknown daughter. However, she discovers the demonic origin of her father’s powers and meets him head-on in a final showdown, originally presented in 3D.

Wes Craven’s New Nightmare

As the tenth anniversary of A Nightmare on Elm Street approaches, actress Heather Langenkamp begins receiving frightening phone calls from a voice resembling Freddy Krueger. When her husband is killed in a car accident and discovered with slash marks on his body, Heather begins to suspect that something is terribly wrong—especially after learning that Wes Craven is writing another Nightmare film.

She soon realizes that Freddy has entered the real world, and the only way to defeat him is to become Nancy Thompson once again.
