Jess Franco’s surreal and provocative interpretation of the classic Oscar Wilde-inspired tale stars his longtime muse, the striking Lina Romay (ROLLS ROYCE BABY), in one of her most memorable performances. Romay plays the mysterious aristocrat Doriana Gray, a seductive and enigmatic woman who shares a strange and supernatural connection with her twin sister. When one experiences intense emotion or desire, the other feels the same sensations, creating an unusual bond that becomes increasingly complicated when a curious young reporter begins investigating their lives.

Filled with hypnotic visuals, atmospheric music, and strong supporting performances from frequent Franco collaborator Monica Swinn, DORIANA GRAY (aka MARQUISE DE SADE) stands as one of the highlights of Franco’s prolific 1970s output and one of the standout productions made for Swiss exploitation producer Erwin C. Dietrich.
