Fear Has 1,000 Eyes (Uncensored Director’s Cut)
A study in horror, mystery, and the occult
In a remote village in Northern Sweden, priest Sven (Hans Wahlgren) lives with his pregnant wife Anna (Anita Sanders) in a quiet vicarage. Their peaceful life is disrupted when Anna’s friend Hedvig (Solveig Andersson) arrives—bringing with her a sinister presence. As strange hauntings and unexplained deaths begin to unfold, it becomes clear that Hedvig harbors dark intentions, drawing the couple into a disturbing web of manipulation and occult influence.
One of Sweden’s rare ventures into horror, Fear Has 1,000 Eyes blends supernatural elements with psychological tension and dark thematic undertones. The film features Solveig Andersson (Thriller – A Cruel Picture), Anita Sanders (who worked with both Pier Paolo Pasolini and Federico Fellini), and Hans Wahlgren.
Director Torgny Wickman gained international attention with The Language of Love (1969), a controversial and widely discussed release that led to multiple follow-ups. This film stands as a unique entry in his later work.
