During a British space mission investigating Halley’s Comet, astronauts discover a mysterious alien spacecraft hidden within the comet’s tail. Inside are the preserved bodies of several humanoid beings, including two men and a stunning woman in suspended animation. When the crew attempts to bring them back to Earth, disaster strikes.

After the shuttle returns mysteriously burned out and nearly the entire crew is found dead, the surviving alien visitors unleash terror upon London as they drain the life force from humanity, spreading destruction and panic across the city.
