After siblings Barbara and Johnnie are attacked by the undead in a cemetery, Barbara manages to escape to a nearby farmhouse. Her brother, however, does not survive the attack.

Inside the house, Barbara encounters several other people who have also sought refuge there. Together, they barricade themselves inside and attempt to survive the relentless zombie attacks.

Tom Savini’s remake of George A. Romero’s horror classic marked the special-effects legend’s feature directorial debut. This acclaimed reinterpretation modernizes Romero’s original story of a zombie outbreak while introducing updated special effects and a more contemporary approach to the material.

After nearly 30 years of being restricted in Germany, the horror classic is now officially available uncut.
