On the day of her 18th birthday, young Englishwoman Catherine Miles — Elvira Audray (Ironmaster) — and her Brazilian-based parents travel down the mighty Amazon River. But their boat is attacked, her parents are murdered, and Catherine is carried off deep into the jungle, into a world few outsiders have ever seen.
This is the story of what she found: not only the primitive violence she abhorred, but also the untamed passion.
Made with the anthropological accuracy and commitment to sensitivity you expect from Italian jungle movies — i.e. none at all — Amazonia, sometimes known as White Slave, features head severing, unpleasant ritual punishments, and more nudity than is strictly necessary: everything, then, that a fan of the genre could ask for!
