The Beast with a Million Eyes and The Beast of Hollow Mountain stand among the most entertaining examples of this era—presented here together in the spirit of classic 1950s sci-fi double features.
In The Beast with a Million Eyes, produced and reportedly co-directed by Roger Corman, a family living on a remote California desert ranch begins to experience unsettling events after a mysterious flying object crashes nearby. As animals and people start behaving strangely, they are forced to confront an unseen, otherworldly menace.
The Beast of Hollow Mountain, based on a story by pioneering special-effects artist Willis O'Brien, follows a cowboy in Mexico who discovers his cattle are being preyed upon—not by rustlers, but by a prehistoric creature lurking in the wilderness.
Blending alien paranoia with dinosaur-driven spectacle, these two films capture the essence of 1950s genre cinema—recalling the era of drive-ins, double bills, and unrestrained monster mayhem.
