In the seemingly idyllic all-American town of Lumberton, college student Jeffrey Beaumont (Kyle MacLachlan) discovers a severed human ear. Compelled to investigate with the help of Sandy (Laura Dern), Jeffrey is drawn into the town’s hidden underworld, where violence, obsession, and disturbing secrets exist behind closed doors.

His investigation leads him to nightclub singer Dorothy Vallens (Isabella Rossellini) and eventually places him on a collision course with the terrifying Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper), the violent epicenter of Lumberton’s dark side.

Driven by Hopper’s ferocious performance, Lynch’s uncompromising direction, and an unforgettable portrait of corruption beneath idyllic Americana, Blue Velvet remains as startling and provocative today as it was upon release. The film returns in a definitive, director-approved 4K restoration.
