Set during the Vietnam War, the film follows three lifelong friends—B, Fai, and Wing (Tony Leung Chiu-Wai, Jacky Cheung, and Waise Lee)—as they flee Hong Kong in search of opportunity as smugglers.

In Saigon, they partner with fellow expat Lok (Simon Yam), only to double-cross a ruthless gangster in a high-stakes gold heist while attempting to rescue nightclub singer Sau-ching (Yolinda Yan).

What follows is a harrowing descent into chaos—an unrelenting odyssey through war where each battle pushes them closer to their breaking point, threatening not only their lives but the very bond of brotherhood that once defined them.

Drawing comparisons to Apocalypse Now, the film stands as a savage exploration of war’s psychological toll—where loyalty erodes, morality collapses, and survival comes at an unforgiving cost.
