Synopsis:

A routine case turns into private detective Harry D’Amour’s worst nightmare when he encounters an occult cult whose followers are attempting to resurrect their dead leader, Nix. Known to his disciples as “The Puritan,” the dark master was once a renowned illusionist before being murdered 13 years earlier by his most gifted student, Philip Swann.

Swann is now a famous illusionist himself, leading his concerned wife, Dorothea, to fear that Nix’s fanatical followers are seeking revenge. To protect her husband, she hires D’Amour as his bodyguard. The assignment soon forces the investigator to confront supernatural powers where the line between illusion and reality disappears—and threatens to unleash hell on Earth.
