Description
Following their genre-defining “female delinquent” classic Girl Boss Guerrilla, director Norifumi Suzuki and action star Reiko Ike reunited for the shocking Sex & Fury — a psychedelic explosion of sleaze, violence, and classic 1970s Japanese exploitation cinema. The film would later spawn the sequel Female Yakuza Tale, directed by legendary ero-guro master Teruo Ishii (Horrors of Malformed Men).
In Sex & Fury, deadly swordswoman Ocho Inoshika (Reiko Ike) hunts the men responsible for her father’s murder, leading her deep into a depraved underworld of sexually deviant yakuza, international conspiracies, and betrayal. Along the way, she crosses paths with a mysterious British secret agent played by Christina Lindberg (Thriller: A Cruel Picture), as a dangerous plot threatens the future of Japan itself.
The sequel, Female Yakuza Tale, raises the stakes even further as Ocho is captured by ruthless gangsters operating a brutal drug trafficking ring using kidnapped Chinese women as mules. Forced into a desperate fight for survival, she must rely on both her deadly blade and cunning instincts to escape.
Overflowing with outrageous violence, surreal psychedelia, and unrelenting exploitation excess, this double-feature stands as one of the definitive high points of 1970s Toei Company yakuza cinema.
