Synopsis:
Boxer Jake LaMotta (Robert De Niro), who grew up in modest circumstances in Little Italy in the Bronx, wins the world middleweight championship. However, the eccentric athlete struggles to cope with his sudden fame. Before long, the aggression that helped him win in the ring threatens to destroy his life outside the boxing arena.
