Two twisted takes on fairytales brought kicking and screaming into modern-day America by maverick writer/director Matthew Bright, Freeway and Freeway II: Confessions of a Trickbaby feature standout early performances from stars Reese Witherspoon (Walk the Line) and Natasha Lyonne (Poker Face).

A pitch-black riff on Little Red Riding Hood, Freeway sees delinquent teen Vanessa Lutz (Witherspoon) on the run and heading for her grandmother’s house when she meets the silver-tongued Bob Wolverton (Kiefer Sutherland), who might just be the “I-5 Killer” leaving a trail of dead young women along the road.

Meanwhile, in Freeway II: Confessions of a Trickbaby, teenage sex worker Crystal “White Girl” Van Meter (Lyonne) escapes from juvie with 16-year-old serial killer “Cyclona” in tow and heads for Mexico in a deranged take on Hansel and Gretel.

Utterly provocative and not for the easily shocked, take a treacherous trip down a very dark road with Freeway and Freeway II.
