THE KEY (4K UHD)

Tinto Brass’ acclaimed period drama arrives in a new 4K restoration, featuring a celebrated score by Ennio Morricone.

Set in Venice during World War II, The Key follows art professor Nino (Frank Finlay), who begins recording his most private thoughts and desires in a personal diary. As emotional distance grows between Nino and his younger wife Teresa (Stefania Sandrelli), the discovery of the diary sets off a chain of revelations that challenge the boundaries of their marriage.

Adapted from the novel by Junichiro Tanizaki and reimagined in wartime Italy, The Key blends psychological drama, romantic tension, and lush period atmosphere. Widely regarded as one of Tinto Brass’ most refined and visually striking works, the film stands as a notable entry in European art-house cinema.
