When a circus clown is forced into the brutality of war and made to slaughter enemy soldiers armed with nothing but a machete, the trauma leaves a permanent scar on his young son Javier (Carlos Areces). Years later, Javier grows into a deeply troubled “sad clown,” joining a traveling circus where he performs alongside the violent and unstable “happy clown” Sergio (Antonio de la Torre).
As Javier falls for Sergio’s alluring partner Natalia (Carolina Bang), a dangerous love triangle erupts into jealousy, obsession, and shocking violence. What begins as twisted romance quickly descends into a surreal nightmare of revenge, brutality, and emotional collapse.
