Synopsis
Peter Loew (Nicolas Cage), a self-absorbed literary agent, lives a shallow, materialistic life in 1980s Manhattan—filled with empty relationships, routine office days, and unfulfilling therapy sessions.
Everything changes after a strange and violent encounter with a mysterious woman (Jennifer Beals). Soon after, Peter becomes convinced he is transforming into a vampire.
As his grip on reality deteriorates, his behavior grows increasingly erratic and disturbing. Wandering the streets and clubs of late-80s New York, he spirals into madness as fantasy and reality blur—with shocking consequences.
Directed by Robert Bierman and written by Joseph Minion, Vampire’s Kiss is a darkly comedic psychological horror that predates American Psycho and remains iconic thanks to one of Nicolas Cage’s most outrageous performances.
