Synopsis:
The FBI is desperately trying to track down a serial killer known as Buffalo Bill, who kidnaps young women, murders them, and removes pieces of their skin. In order to build a psychological profile of the killer, young FBI trainee Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) is sent to interview the imprisoned psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins), a brilliant but cannibalistic murderer held in a high-security facility. During their meetings, however, the highly intelligent doctor has his own agenda. For every piece of information he provides, he demands deeply personal insights into Clarice’s past. As she becomes increasingly entangled in his web of manipulation, power, and psychological games, valuable time slips away—while Buffalo Bill is already preparing his next victim.
