Synopsis:
The FBI is unsuccessfully trying to track down a serial killer known as Buffalo Bill, who abducts his female victims, murders them, and then removes parts of their skin. In order to create a psychological profile of the killer, young FBI trainee Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) visits imprisoned psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins), a cannibalistic murderer, in the high-security wing. But during their conversations, the highly intelligent doctor pursues his own interests: for every piece of information, he demands intimate insights into the aspiring agent’s past in return, as she becomes ever more deeply entangled in his perfidious web of manipulation, power, and psychological games. While Clarice loses precious time, Buffalo Bill already has his next victim in his sights...
