Inspired by the infamous Texarkana Moonlight Murders which took place in Texarkana in 1946, this controversial version of events is a grindhouse classic and a superior, sinister slasher.
A sack-hooded killer is stalking the land and is leaving a trail of bodies behind him, causing the locals to live in fear when the sun sets. Often compared to the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre, thanks to its rural location, director Charles B Pierce shot the movie around the Texarkana area using locals as extras to give it a feeling of uneasy and raw authenticity. Perfectly plotted with a continuing sense of alarm this takes horror to an extreme and breathless level. Remember, don't venture into the fields after dark!
