Synopsis:
16-year-old student and hobby hacker David (Matthew Broderick) believes that, after a few clicks and tricks, he has successfully broken into the computer system of a video game manufacturer, where the latest war games are waiting for him to try out. When he is prompted to aim nuclear missiles at U.S. targets, he puts his virtual weapons into position — unaware that he is not inside a game at all. Instead of accessing a game company’s system, he has unknowingly tapped into the North American Aerospace Defense Command, NORAD, and started a military simulation that puts the command on highest alert and is interpreted as a surprise nuclear attack by the Soviet Union against the United States...
